Viola Continues to Score, but Pioneers Suffer Loss to Scranton, 1-4

WAYNE, N.J. – Abigail Viola (Monroe Township, N.J./Monroe Township) shoots on target for the second time this season, but the William Paterson field hockey team (1-2, 0-0 NJAC) dropped their road game decision at Scranton, 1-4, Sept. 5.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Abigail Viola (Monroe Township, N.J./Monroe Township) recorded her second goal of the season in the sixth minute with an assist from Carly Miceli (South Plainfield, N.J./South Plainfield)

Alexis Land (Monroe, N.J./Monroe Twp.) provided her second defensive save of the season to support the defense

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Miceli’s assist was her first of the season

Mallory Rickerhauser (Lumberton, N.J./Rancocas Valley Regional) collected five saves, totaling 16 so far this season
