Pep Guardiola says Erling Haaland’s arrival against Manchester City will make the English champions possess a more ruthless attacking force, says Pep Guardiola after watching his side beat Wolves 5- 1 on Wednesday.

Haaland’s £51m ($63m, €60m) deal ends City’s search for a recognized striker to replace departed Sergio Aguero.

However, Kevin De Bruyne scored four goals, including a hat-trick within 24 minutes.

Raheem Sterling completed the goal as City brought their tally in the last five Premier League games to 22.

Even so, Guardiola remains displeased as a number of missed opportunities with goal difference likely remain the deciding factor in the title race.

Man City is 3 points ahead of Liverpool compared to the top team and 7 goals behind after the remaining 2 matches.

“For sure he can help us score more goals,” said Guardiola when asked how many goals his side would score against Haaland.

“Congratulations to the club. This is a contract for the years to come. We are delighted that he has decided to join us.

“Next season we will work together, we will help him settle down quickly in Manchester. I’m sure he will quickly adapt to the way we want to play.”
