Rangnick speaks after the win against Tottenham Hotspur
Speaking after the victory over Tottenham Hotspur, former player Gary Neville suddenly pointed out the current situation in the dressing room of Manchester United. Talking to Sky Sports, Neville shared (quoted by Metro):
“I think, there are big problems in the Manchester United dressing room. I really see that at the moment, among the characters that exist in the dressing room .”
“I don’t think it’s great at all. To be fair, if Tottenham get the lead at any point in the game, you’ll see them surrender pretty quickly.”
Neville is disappointed internally at Man Utd.
“I don’t think there’s a spirit in that dressing room that you should see in games. Their performances are patchy.”
“From Ralf Rangnick’s interviews, you get the sense that he doesn’t like the team that much. He’s just trying to get through to the end of the season as well as he can.”
“If you don’t accept being left out of the squad, obviously you can have a problem with the coach but the problem is also with your teammates.”
“We’ve all been left out of the squad, the times were tough. But then you walk into that dressing room and say to the guy who took your place, ‘Come on, let’s have one today. Good game.’ That’s when you have a great dressing room.”
“Manchester United don’t have that at the moment . I think maybe they’ll sit on the bench, look at their teammates and think, ‘I hope my replacement will have a game. bad today.”
